A substantial giltwood and composition pier mirror of Neo-Classical style - A substantial giltwood and composition pier mirror of Neo-Classical style featuring a tall rectangular frame with distinctive canted upper angles. The ornate surround is detailed with a beaded outer edge and a continuous inner moulding of guilloche and flower head motifs. Housing a large clear mirror plate, the frame retains a distressed gilt finish over a reddish-brown bole base, exhibiting the grand proportions and architectural detailing characteristic of period European salon mirrors.
