Cabriolet Armchair ”Boileau” (Louis XVI Style) - Cabriolet Armchair ”Boileau” (Louis XVI Style), Ateliers Allot Copper finished beechwood frame with upholstered seat; France Louis XVI style cabriolet armchair in solid beechwood with a dark copper leaf finish. The frame has a gently arched crest rail outlined with fine beading and a subtly concave backrest characteristic of the cabriolet form. It stands on straight, tapered, fluted legs with rosette carved blocks and bronze sabots. Upholstered using traditional methods with leaf fibre trimming over helical springs and finished in neutral Amara – Casal fabric. Contemporary production by Ateliers Allot, a French manufacturer established in 1812 and holder of the EPV label, integrating cabinetmaking, upholstery, woodcarving, gilding, and associated trades.
