End of Bed Bench ”Vaux” (Louis XIII Style) - End of Bed Bench ”Vaux” (Louis XIII Style), Ateliers Allot Solid oak frame with carved stretcher and upholstered seat; France [LOC 689] Louis XIII style bench in solid oak, based on a model within the Ateliers Allot collection known as ”Vaux.” The frame reflects early Baroque design with four curved legs joined by a low X shaped stretcher featuring scrolling carved elements. The rectangular seat is traditionally upholstered with leaf fibre trimming over helical springs and finished in patterned Soierie fabric with acanthus and floral motifs. Contemporary production by Ateliers Allot, a French manufacturer established in 1812 and holder of the EPV label, integrating cabinetmaking, upholstery, woodcarving, and associated trades. [LOC 689]
