This Raymer Society Consignment Art Auction includes more than 100 works of fine art. Consigned to the auction are original works by Lester Raymer, including 2 oil paintings, a linocut, a linocut, a crayon resist, and a metal rooster. Also up for auction will be works by Birger Sandzén, including 2 linocuts, and a lithograph. In addition, there will be works by Prairie Print Makers, many Sanzdén students, Kansas and Midwest, national and international artists.

Hawkins, Ted (1911-1969) "Texas" oil on canvas board
Ted Hawkins (1911-1969) "Texas" oil on canvas board, unsigned, good condition, size: 12 x 16 inches. Born near Rock, Kansas in 1911 and died Wichita, July 21, 1969, Ted Hawkins was a printmaker. He attended country schools near Rock before his family moved to Winfield. He attended Southwestern College for two years then enrolled at the Wichita Art Association in 1931 and studied with William Dickerson.He won a scholarship to the Minneapolis (MN) School of Art, graduating in 1935. He worked as a free-lance artist, an art director for Semco Color Press in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and then joined the McCormick-Armstrong art department in Wichita in 1939. He also worked as an instructor at the Wichita Art Association. and participated in the Federal Art Project.
