The set features a high-gloss black glazed ground decorated with gold-tone transfer-printed scenes in the classical Greek revival style. The underside of each piece bears a gold backstamp with the initials L.T.R. inside a horizontal oval, above the text FINE PORCELAIN and JAPAN.
