A pair of covers commemorating the bicentenary of the Battle of Trafalgar, produced by Mercury, Watford. Each cover houses a Gibraltar One Crown coin dated 1805-2005 featuring a sailing ship reverse design. The illustrated covers depict a portrait of Vice Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson KB and the signal text England Expects That Every Man Will Do His Duty. Each cover bears two UK postage stamps cancelled with a pictorial HM Naval Base Portsmouth Hants postmark dated 21st October 2004, marking the 199th anniversary. The sets are individually numbered 5316 and 5318 to the lower right corner.
