A pair of vintage whistles of the Metropolitan pattern, manufactured by J. Hudson and Co. (Acme) in Birmingham, England. Both items bear stamped markings identifying them as The Emca City Whistle. On the first whistle, the characters THE EMCA CITY WHISTLE MADE IN ENGLAND are stamped in a group above the sound aperture. The second whistle features THE EMCA CITY WHISTLE at the top, while MADE IN ENGLAND is stamped lower down, below the aperture.
