Lawrence Calcagno "Cosmicscape XII" Painting 1976
Lawrence Calcagno (American, 1913-1993). Double panel acrylic on canvas painting titled "Cosmicscape XII, " depicting an abstract yellow landscape on two canvases joined together, 1976. Signed, titled, dated, and further inscribed "Taos X 1974" and "Taos VII 1976" along the verso of one canvas.
Exhibition: Gallery Contemporary Art Taos, August 1 - 21, 1976.
Provenance: Distinguished Corporate Collection, Minnesota.
Unframed; height: 40 in x width: 64 in. Framed; height: 41 in x width: 65 in.
Condition: The painting is in fair condition with no visible tears or major cracks. There are lines of cracks to the paint to the upper right and left quadrants; please see the listing image. The lines are also visible from the verso. Along the left verso, there are a few areas with paint accretions. No visible sign of restoration under UV light. Light wear to the frame.
