Paul Cadmus Reclining Nude Crayon on Black Paper
Paul Cadmus (American, 1904-1999). Crayon on black paper drawing depicting a nude male reclined on a cushion, a blue robe or cloth draped around his arms. Signed along the lower right.
Provenance: Estate of Paul Cadmus; The collection of Jon Anderson; Private Minnesota collection.
Height: 19 in x width: 17 in.
Condition: The drawing is in good condition with no losses, tears, or restoration under UV light. Along the left margin, there is a crease, which suggests a possibility that at one point the paper was folded. To the upper left corner, there is a folded crease. Along the right and left margins, there is light wear, which appears to be original to the artistic practice. Along the verso, there is scattered white marks, which do not affect the recto; please see the listing image.
