Set 15 W. Guerin Limoges France Porcelain Service
William (Guillaume) Guerin, Limoges, France. Porcelain dinner set including six dinner plates, six salad plates, one tazza or compote, one tray, and one lidded tureen connected to a tray, ca. 1891-1932. Each marked twice along the underside. Each with blue rims and gilt decoration throughout.
Height ranges from 1 in to 8 in; diameter 8 1/2 in to 9 3/4 in; width ranges from 11 in to 12 in; width ranges from 5 in to 6 in.
Condition: All pieces are in generally good condition. For most there are no losses to the gilding or painted decoration. Very light wear throughout, mostly located along footrim. No signs of restoration. There is a small chip along the oblong platter that seems to be original to production and has been gilded over. There are losses to the gilt decoration of the lidded platter. There is a small crack measuring approx. 1 inch long along the interior of the lid. The underside where the mark is not glazed. The larger plates all have light wear to the footrim. One plate has numerous small chips to the footrim. One plate has a few small chips to the footrim. One plate has a large yellow accretion along the bowl of the plate. The small plates all have light wear to the footrims. One plate with one small spot lacking glaze, likely original to production, along the underside along the rim.
