Large Inuit Bone Mask - Dark with Heavy Brow
Large Native American Inuit bone mask. Dark and carved with a heavy brown and inset with whiter bone eyes.
Height: 6 1/2 in x width: 8 1/2 in x depth: 12 1/2 in.
Condition: The item is in fair condition with no major losses, cracks, or visible signs of restoration under UV light. All facial components are present. Wear throughout as expected. Due to the original design, it is difficult to discern whether there are minute chips to the surface; however, there is no major loss that altar the overall appearance of the item. To the left cheek, there is discoloration as shown in the listing image. To the head, there is an area that shows color difference from the rest of the face; there are a few cracks in the area; however, it does not appear to be a restoration under UV light. To the right side of the face, there is a line of white accretion. There is a loss, measuring 1 1/4 in, to the lower left. Along the underside, there is a drill hole; please see the listing image; along the edges, there are a few cracks.
