Georgian Hairwork & Pearl Brooch - Georgian hairwork brooch, housed in a gold scalloped frame with 40 pearls around beveled glass over an iridescent shell backing set with a beautifully formed spray of brown and blonde hair, with wire details and pearl accents. Engraved with two sets of initials (BHS & JLS?) along the reserve. With C clasp closure. Unmarked, tested 10k. Length: 43.63 mm x width: 30.76 mm. Gross weight: 10.4 grams. Condition: Wear to the setting, accretions to the pearls, three gold wire pieces loose underneath the glass.
