Near Eastern Bronze Pouring vessel, Medieval Persian ewer - Bronze or a copper-alloy, dark brown surface with green patina from oxidation, suggesting considerable age. Nearly spherical (globular) body, designed to hold liquid. A long, narrow, slightly upward-angled spout for controlled pouring. A large loop handle attached from the shoulder to the upper neck. The upper end of the handle is sculpted as an animal head of ram, or mythical creature. Hinged dome-shaped lid that fits over the neck. The top of the lid is decorated with a small animal, The end of the spout also appears to terminate in a stylized animal head. Size : 27 cm h x 28 cm L
