Bidspirit auction | A Large Contemporary White Abstract

A Large Contemporary White Abstract Textured Mixed Media Painting - This lot comprises a large-scale contemporary abstract work executed in heavy impasto mixed media on a stretched canvas support. The composition features a monochromatic white palette, with the visual interest derived entirely from high-relief textural elements. The medium is applied in sweeping gestural strokes, curls, and peaks that create a sense of organic movement across the surface. The brushwork and palette knife marks are highly pronounced throughout, casting shadows that provide depth to the single-tone surface. The textured medium continues around the edges of the canvas. In the lower-left corner, there is an incised mark consisting of two vertical lines crossed by a horizontal stroke, resembling a stylised H; the mark is not legible as a name or signature. 150 x 100cm.
