Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, Amsterdam 1754 – First Edition of Even HaOzer Commentary. A Magnificent Copy!

Shulchan Aruch with Even HaOzer, a fundamental commentary to Shulchan Aruch Orach Chaim, Amsterdam 1754. A beautiful copy bound in its original binding. This is the first edition.

Even Haozer is one of the fundamental commentaries on Orach Chaim. Authored by R. Binyamin Ozer HaKohen Katz, Rabbi of Klimontów (c. 1660-1710). It was published in this edition for the first time from manuscript, and has since been paramount to those learning the Shulchan Aruch. This edition boasts several approbations from leading Torah scholars of the era, including that of R. Yaakov Yosha - the Pnei Yehoshua, who praises the author and his work immensely.

Complete with both title pages, the first being a copper engraving depicting Moshe, Aharon, King David and King Solomon.

Complete copies in excellent condition such as this are extremely rare. Bound in original Dutch binding made of wood. Clasps lacking. Original gilt decoration seen on spine; partially repaired.
