"JUST OUT" Animated Cap Gun
By the Ives, Blakeslee Company. Connecticut - 1884 - 6" Long. Gertrude Hegarty Collection. Just Out represents the truest Holy Grail in the world of animated cap pistols. The gun's hammer is fashioned as the head of a chicken which pecks the back of the egg when the trigger is pulled. In the same moment, the egg appears to crack open and a large yellow chick pops out. An absolutely sublime specimen of this rare toy gun.
