Large Chinese Style Famille Rose Medallion Porcelain Vase - A large Chinese style porcelain vase of tall baluster form, featuring a globular body and a flared trumpet neck. The vessel is decorated in the Rose Medallion pattern using the Famille Rose palette of polychrome enamels with gilt highlights. The decoration is arranged in four primary reserves or panels on the body and neck, bordered by scrolling gilt lines. These panels alternate between scenes of figures in domestic architectural settings and nature scenes featuring long-tailed birds, butterflies, and peonies. The reserves are set against a dense background of green scrolling foliage and pink floral motifs. The rim is finished with a gilded band and a border of stylized blossoms. No maker marks or backstamps are visible on the exterior of the vase. Height: 35.5 cm.
