Vintage Tinplate Clockwork Streamlined Toy Locomotive - A vintage clockwork toy train locomotive featuring an Art Deco streamlined design. The body is constructed from lithographed tinplate in an orange-red colour with silver and black decorative lining, faux rivet details, and simulated cab windows. The front of the engine displays a printed blue shield-shaped logo depicting a city skyline over water, a mark attributed to Mettoy Playthings. This 0-4-0 model features four grey plastic wheels and an integrated clockwork motor with a permanently attached metal winding key on the right-hand side. The underside of the chassis includes a start/stop lever. The locomotive is designed with a hollow front nose section and rear housing for couplings. In working order Length: 15.2 cm.
