A Collection of Vintage Stereoscopic Viewers and Media including Sawyer's View-Master and Lestrade Simplex - This lot comprises a collection of vintage stereoscopic viewing equipment and associated media from American and French manufacturers. Included is a Sawyer's View-Master Model C viewer, manufactured from black Bakelite. The reverse of the unit features embossed text including Sawyer's, View-Master, and Portland Ore., alongside US, Canadian, and British patent numbers. It incorporates a metal side-mounted lever for advancing circular reels. Also present is a French Lestrade Simplex stereoscope, constructed from light green plastic. This unit is marked Stereoscope Lestrade and Brev. Simplex S.G.D.G. and employs a top-mounted black plastic lever for vertical film strip advancement. The included media consists of a packaged View-Master 3D set for the UK stop-motion character Portland Bill, with the card backing indicating it contains three reels. Furthermore, there are three vertical stereoscopic film strips; two are marked Stereo-Scope Lestrade and one is marked bruguière, all featuring scenes from Lourdes.
