The subject depicts a young woman in 18th-century rustic attire, shown bust-length and gazing down at a small bird held in her hands. The print is housed in an ornate oval frame of cast metal with a gilt finish, featuring scrolled foliate, shell, and floral motifs. The reverse of the top decorative crest is cast with the mark MADE ITALY. The frame is fitted with glass and a red felt-covered backing board with a metal hanging loop. Height: 42 cm Width: 29 cm.
