Anubis, A Cast Bronze Reproduction Sculpture - A cast bronze sculpture depicting the ancient Egyptian deity Anubis, the jackal-headed god of the afterlife. The figure is shown in a traditional striding pose with the left foot forward, wearing a pleated shendyt kilt, a broad wesekh collar, and a tripartite wig. The figure holds a stylized scepter in the left hand. This modern reproduction in the Pharaonic style is cast in solid bronze with a dark brown patina. The sculpture is fixed to an integral rectangular bronze base which is mounted upon a larger black-finished rectangular plinth. The reverse of the bronze base is incised with the text reproduction BRONZE. The front of the plinth features a brass-toned plaque inscribed with the text ANUBIS Reproduction en bronze.
