Silver Amber Cabochon Filigree Oval Pendant - A Silver pendant of oval form featuring a central Baltic amber cabochon. The amber is honey-brown in colour with visible internal sun spangle inclusions, held in a rub-over setting. The gemstone is enclosed by an openwork filigree frame decorated with scrolling foliate and heart-shaped motifs. The reverse of the frame is open to allow light through the stone. A circular jump ring and a tapered bail are attached to the top for suspension from a chain. The reverse of the bail bears a small rectangular mark, though the characters within the cartouche are not legible.
