A Cast Iron Jolly Mechanical Bank - A cast iron mechanical bank modelled as a bust featuring a red jacket with a white collar. The item is designed with a lever mechanism to the reverse which, when operated, moves the right hand towards the open mouth while simultaneously rolling the eyes. The figure is finished with a black body colour and vibrant red lips. The reverse of the base features a single slotted screw head used for assembly. There are no legible maker marks or patent inscriptions visible on the exterior of the casting. The interior mechanism is accessed via a base plate which is secured to the main body.
