The vessel exhibits a highly burnished polished finish accented by matte slip decoration. The decorative scheme consists of stylized geometric and avian motifs, most notably a prominent feather-like pattern radiating from the base of the neck. The underside of the base features an incised signature reading Margaret Garcia Santa Clara Pue. N. Mex.
