A Stoneware Abstract Slab Sculpture With Incised Decoration - A hand-built stoneware abstract sculpture featuring a dynamic, undulating form composed of overlapping slabs. The piece exhibits a varied surface treatment with smooth, unglazed cream-coloured areas contrasted by sections finished in a rust-toned slip. The sculpture is heavily decorated with rhythmic, deeply incised linear patterns and cross-hatched textures that follow the contours of the folds. The reverse side shows similar construction with sweeping diagonal bands of textured orange-brown slip against the pale clay body. The form is self-supporting on an integral base. There are no legible signatures or maker's marks visible. Height: 25 cm Width: 24 cm.
