A Collection of Curiosities and Miniature Collectibles in a Colman Tin - A large rectangular lithographed tin storage box featuring dark green exterior panels decorated with classical scenes. The interior of the hinged lid bears a printed black circular mark reading J.J. COLMAN LTD surrounded by the words GUARANTEE OF QUALITY. The tin contains an assortment of decorative objects and tools, including a white resin relief sculpture of The Last Supper, a metal model of a Spitfire aeroplane, a red-painted violin with a bow, a metal clothes iron, and a painted metal miniature watering can with floral decoration. The collection also comprises a tartan patterned box, a small tin with a butterfly and floral motif, and a circular brown tin with a label reading LICORICE & MENTHOL PELLETS. Utensils include a pair of metal forceps with textured cross-hatched handles and a wooden-handled tool. Glass and ceramic items include a small stoneware jar, a clear pressed glass inkwell, and a brown glazed ceramic bottle with a cork stopper.
