A Victorian Figured Walnut And Brass Inlaid Jewellery Box - A Victorian walnut jewellery box featuring a highly figured grain and decorative brass star-shaped inlay to the centre of the lid. The box is constructed with matching brass escutcheons to the main body and the lower drawer, and is fitted with brass hinges. The interior is lined with red velvet and silk, containing a removable top tray with multiple compartments for organisation. The lower drawer is operated by a brass pin mechanism located at the rear of the main internal compartment. A gold key on a link chain and a large safety pin with a suspended bead charm are present within the drawer.
