Bidspirit auction | A Pair of Seated Scottish

A Pair of Seated Scottish Terrier Figurines - A pair of Pottery figurines depicting Scottish Terriers in a seated, alert posture with pricked ears and textured coats. Each dog is finished in a matte black paint with hand-painted details to the faces, including white and black eyes and a small red tongue. The textured surface suggests a heavy casting process, and the weighted nature of the items indicates they were produced for use as decorative hearth ornaments or bookends. There are no visible maker marks, model numbers, or labels on the exterior surfaces of either piece. The figures are modelled with slightly differing facial orientations, creating a matched pair. Height: 12.5 cm Length: 18 cm
