Bidspirit auction | A Set of Four Framed

A Set of Four Framed Silhouette Artworks Depicting Dancers - A set of four ink on paper silhouette artworks, each presented in an oval mount. The collection features various dance and acrobatic motifs, including a flamenco dancer with a fan, a balletic couple in an arabesque pose, a solo dancer in a dynamic leaping movement, and a figure in an expressive reaching posture. Every piece bears a small hand-painted monogram at the base of the image consisting of the characters B and V intertwined. The artworks are housed in matching black wooden frames with a gilded inner beaded edge. The versos are sealed with brown paper, showing significant age-related wear, with one frame featuring extensive clear plastic tape reinforcement and another bearing a metal hanging loop at the top.
