Silver Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge by C.E. Juncker, Berlin - A Second World War German Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge (Flugzeugführerabzeichen). The badge is of two-piece construction, featuring a central silver eagle in flight, clutching a swastika in its talons. The eagle is superimposed over a vertical oval wreath composed of laurel leaves on the left and oak leaves on the right. The eagle is a separate piece secured to the wreath by two small rivets. The reverse features a vertical pin and hinge assembly with a barrel-type hinge at the top and a wire catch at the bottom. The reverse of the wreath bears embossed marks including a circular mark containing the characters C and E, and the name JUNKER.
