The Gorham Manufacturing Company, founded in 1831 by Jabez Gorham in Providence, RI, is known for its high-quality silver and silver plate. Gorham is famous for producing a wide range of products, including flatware, hollowware, and decorative items. They also specialized in sculptural foundry work, even building the world's largest bronze-casting foundry by 1890. While Gorham is primarily known for its silver, it also produced other goods, including crystal.
