Rare Rondel Dagger w/Scabbard
Old rondel dagger with scabbard. Blade early with a single edge, three recess to ricasso, long slender fuller, and a double edge tip. Originally developed in the 14th century, rondel daggers were primarily used as a sidearm by knights and men-at-arms. They were particularly popular during the late Middle Ages and the Renaissance period. Rondel daggers were versatile weapons, used for both thrusting and slashing motions in close combat situations, especially when grappling or fighting in armored combat. Size 19" L, 12 1/2" L blade
