Ottoman Yatagan Sword w/Proof Mark
Large Ottoman Yatagan sword with a strong recurve blade and Islamic likely damascus proof mark. Handle in horn with a split ear pommel. Yatagan were widely used by various peoples within the Ottoman Empire, including Turks, Greeks, Albanians and others. They were typically used as both a slashing and thrusting weapon. Size overall 28" L, blade 22 5/8" L
Condition: Good with some wear to inscribed copper spacer
