Carl Payne for Coalport, The Offering, Cold-Cast Bronze and Marble Sculpture - This contemporary sculpture, titled The Offering, was designed by the British sculptor Carl Payne for the Coalport Collectables Altico series. The work is executed in cold-cast bronze with a warm brown patina, depicting a stylised nude female figure in a dynamic, Art Deco-inspired pose. The figure is captured in motion, holding a sphere aloft in her raised left hand with flowing drapery trailing from her limbs. The sculpture is mounted on a substantial, multi-tiered pedestal base constructed from alternating layers of polished black and grey-veined marble. The underside of the base is covered in black felt and bears a gold-printed manufacturer's mark.
