A Large Chinese Polychrome Porcelain Figure of Shou Lao - A large polychrome porcelain figure depicting Shou Lao, the Taoist God of Longevity. The figure is rendered with his signature elongated cranium and a voluminous white beard, wearing a cobalt blue robe decorated with floral medallions in red, green, and orange enamels. He holds a peach of immortality in his right hand and a gnarled red staff with a dragon-head terminal and a gourd in his left. The piece is finished in a high-gloss glaze with hand-painted details to the facial features and garments. There are no maker's or reign marks visible on the exterior. An inventory sticker bearing the number 12696 is adhered to the front. Height: 30 cm.
