EAR Vintage Portable Record Player with BSR Monarch Turntable Deck - A vintage portable record player manufactured by Electric Audio Reproducers Ltd (EAR), dating from the late 1950s to early 1960s. The unit is housed in a two-tone suitcase-style cabinet finished in blue and cream textured Rexine vinyl. The front features a vertically striped grey and white fabric speaker grille. The control panel, located on the left side, consists of a gold-toned metal plate with three cream-coloured plastic rotary knobs for volume and tone control, embossed with the EAR manufacturer mark. Internally, the player is fitted with a BSR (Birmingham Sound Reproducers) Monarch four-speed automatic record changer deck. The turntable platter is finished in brown, and the tonearm is constructed from white moulded plastic. A small, shield-shaped manufacturer label with a red background and EAR lettering is located inside the lid. The unit includes a white two-core mains lead.
