Clark. The scene depicts three gentlemen in early 19th-century attire, including top hats and frock coats, engaged in angling from a flat-bottomed punt on a tranquil river. The composition is set against a wooded landscape with a small bridge visible in the distance. The print displays a distinct rectangular plate mark and fine tonal gradations characteristic of the aquatint process. It is inscribed H. Alken delt. to the lower left margin and I.
