Myles Birket Foster, Making Hay While the Sun Shines, Chromolithograph - A large late 19th-century chromolithograph after the original painting by Myles Birket Foster (1825-1899), titled Making Hay While the Sun Shines. The print depicts a traditional British pastoral scene of haymakers, featuring a group of four women and a young child stacking hay in the foreground. The mid-ground shows further workers and haystacks set against an expansive landscape with a large farmhouse visible to the right under a cloudy sky. The image features a printed stylized monogram in the lower-left corner. The work is presented behind glass in a wide gold-toned mount and a large, ornate gilt-composition frame. Two inventory stickers are present on the mount: a printed P and a handwritten 50L.
