John Cother Webb after J.M.W. Turner, Ancient Italy, Signed Limited Edition Print - A colour mezzotint by John Cother Webb (British, 1855–1927) after a composition by J.M.W. Turner, depicting the classical landscape titled Ancient Italy. The scene shows a multi-arched bridge over a wide river, with figures and ornate boats in the foreground and grand architectural ruins set against a hazy, luminous sky in the background. This limited edition print is hand-signed in pencil by John Cother Webb in the lower right-hand margin. An embossed circular Fine Art Trade Guild blindstamp is located in the lower left-hand margin, indicating its status as an original trade-approved strike. The work is housed in a decorative gilt-wood frame with a double-border mount. A small white auction label numbered 12703/7 is visible on the lower section of the mount.
