A Suite of Neo-Classical School Prints 'Pompeian Dancers' - A suite of prints in the neo-classical style, each depicting a female figure in a dynamic dancing pose inspired by the frescoes of Pompeii and Herculaneum. The figures are rendered in flowing, translucent drapery against a solid black ground, with some figures accompanied by accessories such as a hoop or tambourine. Each composition is bordered on the left by a vertical foliate motif. The works are housed in matching giltwood frames with rounded profiles and cream-coloured mounts. A small white adhesive lot label marked 501 is adhered to the upper right corner of one frame.
