1946 Pepys Series Home Cricket Board Game - Pepys Series Home Cricket board game, manufactured by Castell Brothers Ltd in the United Kingdom, circa 1946. The game is housed in its original cardboard box featuring a colour lithograph lid depicting a cricket match in progress at a ground with a grandstand and pavilion flying the Union Jack. The title Home Cricket is presented in large red three-dimensional lettering with a cricket ball motif for the letter O. The set contains a collection of two-dimensional player figures constructed from thick card or thin wood, depicting batsmen in various poses, fielders, and a wicket-keeper, each mounted on a green-painted slotted wooden base. Also present is a set of three wooden stumps on a single green base, a dark brown shaker cup, and the original printed instruction sheet titled Rules for the game of Home Cricket. The interior of the box features divided cardboard compartments for component storage. The manufacturer mark Pepys Series, Copyright Design, and British Manufacture are printed on the lower right corner of the lid, with a stylized CC logo located in the upper left corner.
