A Tri-ang Minic Clockwork Speed Record Racing Car with Original Key - A mid-20th century clockwork toy racing car produced by the British manufacturer Tri-ang Minic, a brand of Lines Bros. Ltd. The toy is constructed from pressed tinplate with a cream-painted finish. It is modelled as a speed record car, featuring embossed lettering to the side of the body reading British Speed Record. The underside of the chassis is embossed with the manufacturer marks British and Foreign Patents Applied For, the Minic brand name within a rectangular frame, and Made in Great Britain. The vehicle is equipped with a side-winding clockwork motor and includes its original separate winding key, which is embossed Minic Tri-ang Toys. The car features a silver-painted radiator grille and four wheels with green-painted tread detailing.
