An Art Nouveau 9 Carat Yellow Gold and Garnet Openwork Pendant - An Art Nouveau openwork pendant constructed from 9 carat yellow gold. The pendant features a symmetrical frame of whiplash scrolls and stylized foliate elements. It is set with two deep red faceted gemstones, the central stone being an oval-cut in a collet setting, with a smaller round-cut stone held in an articulated terminal drop. The piece is suspended from a tapering gold bail. A stamped mark on the bail reads 9ct and a further partially legible stamp is visible on the reverse of the main frame.
