The larger unit is finished in a grey hammer-tone paint and features a circular dial face printed with the brand name SALTER, the designation MODEL 250, and the origin MADE IN ENGLAND. The dial is calibrated for dual measurements up to 22lb and 10kg. The smaller unit is finished in a cream-coloured paint and bears the brand name SALTER and the origin MADE IN ENGLAND on a dial calibrated to 20lb and 9kg. Both scales are constructed with cast metal bases and are fitted with four-armed metal cradles intended for weighing pans.
