Bidspirit auction | A Collection of Ceramic Hen-on-Nest

A Collection of Ceramic Hen-on-Nest Tureens, a Model Horse, and Tableware - A collection of ceramic and wooden household and decorative objects. The group comprises two ceramic hen-on-nest tureens, one in a dark brown glaze and the other in white with blue floral transfer-printed decoration. Included is a large brown-glazed ceramic model of a heavy horse in full harness. Further ceramic items include several green-glazed tea cups and saucers, a white-glazed cup, and a plate with botanical transfer-printed motifs of leaves and berries. The collection also contains a rectangular wooden cheese board incised with the words Cheshire, Cheddar, Parmesan, and Gorgonzola. A small rectangular white adhesive label is applied to one of the green cups, but the characters are not legible. A circular impressed mark is located on the base of the blue and white hen tureen, though it does not form a readable name.
