An American Gothic Revival Ansonia Steeple Mantel Clock - An American Gothic Revival steeple mantel clock produced by the Ansonia Clock Company. The wooden case, finished in a dark mahogany tone, features a characteristic pointed gabled top mounted with a central metal hanging loop and flanked by two turned metal spire finials. The hinged front door is inset with two glass panels. The upper circular white dial features black Roman numerals and is printed with the name Ansonia below the twelve o'clock position and U. S. A. at the base. The lower rectangular glass panel is decorated with a transfer-printed polychrome scene depicting two hares amongst long grass and foliage. The clock stands on a stepped rectangular plinth base.
