A late 20th-century mahogany-stained modern grandfather clock - A modern grandfather clock in the style of Hermle, featuring a mahogany-stained wood case. The hood is designed with a swan-neck pediment above a glazed door flanked by brass-capped pilasters. The ornate brass dial includes a silvered chapter ring with Roman numeral hour markers and an inner ring of Arabic minute markers, set against decorative foliate spandrels and a central scrollwork motif. The arch of the dial incorporates a rotating moon phase complication. The trunk features a full-length glazed door revealing three brass-cased weights and a decorative lyre-form pendulum. The base is finished with a carved scrollwork apron. This piece features a mechanical, weight-driven movement typically capable of time, strike, and chime functions. Marks are present on the dial but are not clearly legible.
