A Trio of Mantel and Carriage Clocks including Anvil and Kays of Worcester - A trio of mid-20th century clocks consisting of two mechanical mantel clocks and one quartz carriage-style clock. The first is an Art Deco style oak bracket mantel clock. The square dial is marked Anvil and features a silvered chapter ring with black Roman numerals around a central wooden panel. It includes three winding holes and a fast/slow regulation lever. The mechanical three-train movement is stamped British Made and numbered 1365, striking on five internal metal gong rods. The oak case is decorated with dark wood stringing and corner inlays. The second is a small Napoleon hat arched mantel clock in a mahogany case. The case features floral and stringing inlays in satinwood or boxwood. The circular silvered dial has black Arabic numerals and is set behind convex glass in a brass bezel. The rear reveals a mechanical spring-driven movement. The third is a modern carriage-style clock with a brass-toned metal case and a top carrying handle. The white circular dial is marked Kays of Worcester and Quartz, with the lower edge marked West Germany Case. It features black Roman numerals. The rear houses a battery-operated quartz movement. The lot includes two winding keys.
