Royal Worcester Hand Painted Porcelain Fruit Vase Signed Ricketts Shape 1969 - A Royal Worcester twin-handled porcelain vase of footed ovoid form. The body is decorated with a hand-painted still-life study featuring peaches and blackberries against a shaded background, signed Ricketts to the lower right of the composition. The reverse of the vase displays a smaller hand-painted vignette of four cherries. The vessel is designed with two ornate gilded scroll handles, a waisted neck, and a flared rim with gadrooned moulding. It is supported by a pedestal base with a circular gadrooned foot atop a square plinth. The handles, neck, rim, and base are finished in matte gold gilding. The underside bears a puce factory backstamp for Royal Worcester, which includes the words Made in England and the shape number 1969. Height: approximately 21.5 cm.
