An early 20th-century English scumble-painted metal dome-top trunk - This early-to-mid 20th-century English trunk is constructed from metal with a dome-top lid. The exterior features a faux wood-grain scumble paint finish, while the interior is coated in a dark red paint. The interior base retains a partial lining of later floral-patterned paper. The trunk is fitted with a central brass-toned decorative lock plate and latch assembly, and heavy-duty metal carrying handles are located at each side. The underside of the lid features an embossed mark reading MADE IN ENGLAND.
